I once, at work, in a fit of frustration at the laziness and reluctance of colleagues to properly read documents, re-wrote an entire technical specification of mine - in limericks. Even then they still didn't read it. !

But I've never won a limerick competition yet. I don't expect to, but no matter, it's the fun that counts! Not all of the limericks that have appeared on this thread are original, of course.

But the judge's selection
Was less than perfection
and not worth the price of admission.

I've gotta be honest, it made me laugh the most too. I just thought that with ladies present on the forum, the language might not be that appreciated by all which is why it didn't win. (awaits ridicule )
