Good choice of song, Accy. But not the saccharine-harmonised-sweetness of the Fureys, please.

Eric Bogle's original is ... better by a long way. And can only be "improved" by ramping up the the anger . Yup ... The men they couldn't hang get there ... sort of. But not far enough, imho.

But then I have gut-searing memories of what my erstwhile guitar classes could make of this. **** the harmonies, **** the saccharine.
