Checked through emails as best as i could from my smartphone as im at work right now. I can't find a contact email address on them apart from a Facebook, Twitter and a link to your forums.

Ive forwarded my details to flying dodo more than a week ago trying to update my details so its not as if i havent tried to rectify the issue but yet its still 'my fault'

If i am blocked from participating then consider my subs to the fridays cancelled. I will not be treated or spoken to in this manner

"In this manner"? Hmmm. Let's see.

Elliot, the problem is.... you're a first timer here. We don't know you. The one communication you've sent that made it through to us is the sign-up form, which has a crucial piece of information that is incorrect. We have not been able to contact you at all (and that is the result of your problem, not ours) except here on CC. If this is your preferred place to communicate with the organising team, fine, but you have not PM'd Adam as requested. We have nothing to go on here except your refusal to give us the information we request from ALL riders to ensure a safe event.

If you want to think of Adam and me as "good cop, bad cop", I am very happy to be the bad cop here. Adam is a very nice cop! Contact him. That's all you need to do and is all you've been asked to do, four times now by my counting.

Adam is indeed Flying Dodo.

These things can get frustrating quite quickly but it's best to just step back and take a breath. You want to do the ride and there is no one who doesn't want you to do the ride but the team need to ensure the safety of the whole ride and provide a level of care for the riders.

I'm sure it can all be sorted out before the ride takes place tomorrow.

+1. Previous management would have blackballed him long before now....

But then negated the refraining by posting about it
Well, it'd already been said, hadn't it. All I can say is, we were warned. And still we want to do these rides!

My suggestion, FWIW, would be to call Adam and speak to him directly and clear up any confusion. His number is on the email. He's a really nice guy, you'll like him.

It is testament to the good nature of the folks who organise these rides, that they still continue, it's a wonder to me how people have the patience. I've only been on two (which were FAB), but I always read the ride reports of the other rides and realise how much hard work goes into organise them. I think all those involved deserve a lot of thanks.

I'm beginning to doubt the sanity of riding back on Saturday. I'm going to have to be up very early on Friday, and working late tonight and Friday. So I'll be pretty tired.

Saturday ride home it is, then, I suppose  Here's hoping they sell coffee by the bucket at Shoreham airport.

PS I've been on several rides led by @Flying Dodo I can attest to the fact that he has not killed me. Although he has tried, by discovering an incredibly steep bit of Kent that I didn't know existed.

Well.... the main problem here is, @RoubaixCube has not received any of the three emails @Flying Dodo has sent, because the email address he provided has some kind of problem. (I'd guess the problem is a typo.) As of this morning when I left home, none of the emails @RoubaixCube claims to have sent have come through to help shed light on the matter.

This can still be fixed today. But if it's sorted out via CC (for example via PM), then I recommend @Flying Dodo and @RoubaixCube text each other's mobiles to confirm they know how to contact each other, before we set off tomorrow night. :okay: I'd say that's a bare minimum to get @RoubaixCube secured with a place on this ride, as there are other details on the sign-up form that we are either not able to verify or won't have time to chase down to be sure there are no typos e.g. emergency contact number.

FYI, CharlieB has been in touch and his email bounce-back sorted (a missing letter! Typo! Easily done!)
But we've not yet heard anything from Greg T. He's been on FNRttCs before, although I can't seem to put the name to a face (Darkness! Pesky buffs/hats/helmets!)
Anyone know if he's on CC?
