Whitstable isn't glamorous enough to have a Rucksack Pageant.

No rucksack = no baked goods though!![]()
i've used a drawsting bag for some temporary storage while on the rides. the bag can be neatly folded and stored in a jersey pocket after the cake is consumed.

As I managed to get away from work early today, and just for a laugh, I decided to ride home via Shooters Hill. I can now confirm that, should Simon decide in a moment of mischievous abandon that we will divert via that hill next week, I am unlikely to be first through the door at Andy's Cafe.
yup - every time I took the ride up Shooters Hill every single participant took the time to thank me personally - and to say that they enjoyed it even more than the hill up to Blackheath from Greenwich. In fact, by the time we reached Dartford, having been over a couple more hills, and after going over a pedestrian footbridge to get out of the centre of Dartford, I had to set up an advance booking system, to moderate the flow of compliments and thanks. First preference went to 'Shooters Hill has changed my life!' and second preference went to 'the inner ring road at Crayford is to die for'. Those poor souls so lacking in poetic endeavour that they confined themselves to 'Bexleyheath - I've never enjoyed steering between pools of sick quite so much!' were invited to e-mail their comments.I feel as ever I should add a small vote for the ride coming over Blackheath Hill and Shooters Hill. I appeal to Simon on the grounds of the view back over London from the top of Shooters being fantastic.....![]()
