As we will all be close together, sheltering from the effects of blizzard conditions, can we all turn off the flashing rear light function in favour of a steady glow, please? (Except mine, which will be at the back.)

Which way were you thinking of back to Bexley? I was going to take the A226 out of Gillingham through Dartford, do you know a better way?

The time before last Ian, John and I went straight up the old A2, to Strood where we split up. Ian went cross country towards Orpington, whereas John and I went up the A226 through Gravesend. Last time, a few of us retraced the FNRttC back to Strood and then I went up the new cycle path they've carved out of the old A2, running alongside the new A2. Quite a nice route which brings you out at Northfleet, but not quick as there was the odd dog, child, gate etc. Traffic free though.
Cheers
Ross

the A226 isn't a bad road, although it's very busy on a Saturday morning. I'd originally intended to make it the route, but User10571 had a better idea.

it has improved. XCweather is showing a dry ride up until Whitstable, which will have a 22mph SSW wind - I imagine Davywalnuts will simply race in to town at 85mph, overshoot and have to be disentangled from one of those turbines.

I'm not going to send out another e-mail saying 'all is well' because it might easily flip back again.

We don't mind them so much now that you've calmed down a bit with the fonts...

After a completley nightmare morning where I am serisously considering sending my eldest daughter off to brat camp, slavery or some far easten Country where she has to wake up to reality, this has seriously made me laugh out loud and cheered me up, thank you!

Unarguably true but it is a deep ingrained visceral thing. Besides, I'm taking the scenic train route via Canterbury, Ashford, Rye, and the South Coast to Brighton. The cost for this entry in "Great rail journeys of the World" £11.80 with network card.

last one back's a sissy
