I'd love to be back down to 50...
Me too, but seeing as you can't get 10s anymore it's a shame to waste half a packet.

I must remember to respond to the forthcoming email...I was so hungry that I had three rolls (2 sausage and 1 bacon)! Not sure I'll go for sausage again though, the oral wind thereafter wasn't so pleasant :-)I've just received my first order!

Available in Mercian colours too - want to share?![]()
I was hoping you'd write it........
Nighttime. Empty roads. Moonlight. Conversation. A town comes in to view, and then a steep sided valley. 91 intrepid cyclists file down the valley side, and reach the ancient town of Rochester via the famous iron bridge.
One thing, and one thing only could have brought them here. Andy's famous bacon baguettes.
They make their way from the river mist to Rochester's Latin Quarter. Old hands scent the air - and a smile, born of recognition and deep satisfaction plays across their lips. These aren't just any bacon baguettes. They're bacon baguettes individually wrapped in finest tinfoil.
Those old hands know that there is only one way to make the perfect bacon baguette. Toast the baguette, grill the bacon, put the bacon in the baguette, and then, using a technique known to the French as 'en papillotte' wrap the baguette tightly, sealing the flavour and moisture of the bacon wth the freshness of the bread.
Ah, what deliquescent subtlety! Gentle on the palate, yet simultaneously robust! Savoury, but lent the smack of sweetness by the obligatory dab of brown sauce! Surely no greater pleasure awaits the gourmand than a bacon baguette consumed under the streetlights of Rochester's most atmospheric thoroughfare.
All this can be yours. To register for your bacon baguette en papillote simply e-mail fnrttc@....
which brings us to 96
with another half dozen in the pipeline!
you're on the listI hope the half dozen includes Clive B and Marilyn B!
Both currently in recovery mode...but expecting to make it!
Would it be possible to have toasted cheese baguette en papillotte, instead of the usual cheese roll? It would suit the Francophile vegetarians, if that's not a contradiction in terms...
you can have anything you want within reason - but I think that only the bacon sarnies will be pre-ordered
I'll send an e-mail out n a few days - but, such is the allure of the baguette en papillote that folk just can't wait to order!Have I missed something about pre-ordering? Is this for Andy's? If I can, I'd like to pre-order a bacon roll and a large mug of tea!

You can keep these compliments coming but to be honest I don't think most of us are that concerned about the finer elements of the dining experience, we just want to fill our faces.
