Alas with some regret I am sad to miss this ride. My night will be somewhat similar to yours... but no bike and only a spattering of lycra in sight.

I shall be up all night, have tiered legs in the morning and participating in an activity I love. Although I will be very hot with about 1000 other people with very loud music being played all night.....the after party is rumored to be serving bacon butties at the bar as well

I just popped out to Sainsburys, and it is pretty gusty out there. The current forecasts look to be dry, but with 10 to 15mph NNW wind, which is consistent with the current conditions. The wind should be a bit behind us, but largely a cross wind, so I doubt it'll blow us along much. It does feel quite brisk though, so definitely a night for long sleeves.

Hi Simon. Replied to your email but just in case you haven't seen it. I'm out tonight. Full of coughs and sore throat. Don't want to pass anything on to the rest of the troops. Have a good one everybody i'm gonna curl up in front of the fire.

I'd agree - layer up as the wind-chill will make it pretty cold come 3am. I'm going bib-longs, thermal l/s jersey, full finger gloves, windproof jacket, and rapha cap (in reserve).

I think you're right. I'll have to admit that summer is over for another year

Met check is saying 5 degrees but feels like zero at 4am
