I either have a rack and a rackpack, or a bar bag.

This will have a waterproof, tool roll, camera, snacky bars, extra clothing (pair of Ron Hills perhaps, more if it's wet'n'cold), first aid kit, latex gloves (for those special moments), spare tubes and BEER tokens.

Nothing much in my pockets.

And I have mudguards.

TimO tends to carry the contents of a small workshop, but not, as we found out on the Martletts ride, a small file.

I could probably do, with reviewing this. With time tools get "borrowed" for other purposes, so a quick check and updating is probably necessary.

I only normally carry a complete set of Allen Keys, a couple of screwdrivers, a multi-tool (with integrated chain tool), a Leatherman, a tool for holding the chain when splitting/repairing it, lots of cable ties, some electrical tape, a spare rim tape, a boot, some spare chain links, a spoke key, an assortment of nut, bolts & washers, a tyre, three inner tubes, a pump, and a set of C02 cartridges (with inflater).

I could do with a handful of other tools, like a file.

I also tend to have quite a lot of munchies, two water bottles, one with OJ, and the other with water, which can double up to wash a wound out.

I need to dig out my first aid kit, which I keep on forgetting to carry.

Obviously I've also got junk like waterproofs, spare lights and batteries, thin gloves, and maybe an extra layer if the weather is a bit unpredictable.

I carry two Park Tools - one with a full range of Allen Keys, one with screwdrivers, - a chain tool, a CO2 thingummy, tyre levers (Decathlon's are great, far better than any others I've tried), a spare chain link, four spare inner tubes, a minipump in my back pocket and a yellow showerproof in the bottle cage. And the rides list. That's enough. I will remind people about spare chain links, and inner tubes this month, and I should perhaps say that if your bike has nuts then you should have a box spanner.

That's enough, provided someone else has something you need but don't have ;)
I'd rather bring as much as I do, and not need it, than not have something I need- spares, clothing or food. That said, not sure I've had anything for getting my rear wheel off in the event of the Jetstream getting a puncture (might well do if and when I use it again for one of these).
Perhaps the most unusual bit of storage I've seen on an FNRttC was one of the Martlets guys in March who had two bits of flapjack stuck to the top tube of his Scott Addict with electrical tape. He spends all that dosh on a (lovely) bike and can't find some for a saddlebag?

You've not seen some of User10571's banana storage solutions then?

I do normally have a couple of adjustable spanners, one small, one medium for such things, although a box spanner is generally easier. Unfortunately I broke my last box spanner on a colleagues bike (who an LBS had tightened the nuts up ridiculously tight).
