Since SUFC are not playing this evening, I shall catch the train to Lpoo St arriving a 11.01. I caught this one once when there was a home match and it was a very crowded mistake.

Anyone else travelling from eastern parts?

Sig may be coming in from Romford.

Have a good ride everyone; I'm envious, regardless of the weather.

Obviously you could change the tyre to taste.

What flavours have you got?

I'm charging batteries, trying to minimise/maximise kit and wrack my brains as to anything I might have forgotten.

Do I put on the new chain?

And why, dear God why, when I've done longer rides less equipped and on the whiff of a promise do I, at this last hour, keep trying to learn form the likes of Shakleton and Scott?

I have to pull out of tonights ride.

Was just checking, cleaning and oiling the bike when I found a crack in one of the seat rails. on further inspection the crack is 75% round the Ti tube and two others are starting at the front of the clamp area. Glad I found it today rather than down Reigate tonight
As I have a 230k Audax on Sunday I feel I had better go buy a new saddle and get it adjusted before then. Not that I stand a chance of replacing the Koobi prs but may be able to get a Selle SMP.

Sorry to to miss all the fun and I hope all goes well with the ride, see you all next month and some of you next weekend.

Although I see you're name on the list, I thought you said you weren't doing this one ;)

Shame about your saddle, can't you use your carbon razor blade from your new bike?

Who's going to keep me company as I walk up Ditchling now

I am but will be a lot earlier to avoid the pi$$heads of Romford.

If i can work out a route from Liverpool St to Kings X I may go and meet Mikee and MacB, any suggestions for a route would be much appreciated.

Well I'm arriving at Waterloo then cycling to KX, never done it but had a quick look on google maps. Over the bridge and sort of straight up, it's only about 2.5 miles, even I can't go too far wrong:ohmy: This is actually quite a sophisticated bit of navigating for me, looking at a map first I mean.
