By the way I still have some items left to sell off that I could bring along with me on Friday night, my link takes you to the page but it take a while to load up. Don't forget all monies raised are for charity, Martlets and Haiti.

I did a little raid on the Martlet's riders pages last night. You're doing OK mikee- travel light - you did loads last year, and, if I sort my ducks into a row, will have a little pressie for you tomorrow.

Reassured and content but still quite concerned over the Mike Cavendish styleee sprint for the bacon and eggs.

Mike Cavendish? Who he?

Like last time, I think it's not so much a sprint, more spreading arrival times at the Madeira a bit. So there isn't 120 in the queue, in other words...!!

decisions indeed, shorts + knee warmers or full belt and braces tights approach? bearing in mind my intent to cycle home i'm leaning towards shorts + knee warmers but equally i don't want to freeze... :S

Full metal jacket approach Andy. Remember the last time we headed toward 'Chez Tony' - the scout hut with warmth and tea, and the busted chain not too far away...I was c_o_l_d.
It's easy to strip off. Hard to put on what exists in the imagination...

i think i'll call it tomorrow, most likely based on what i can find at the time ahaha

will you be on the planet-x beast tomorrow ape?

Here for rides.
maybe everyone was watching the track racing and/or frantically scrabbling about finding all the bits they need for tomorrow night.

Me? I'm resisting the temptation to put a new stem on the green 'un (Ritchey Adjustable since you ask). Might have another look in the cool light of dawn tomorrow. #4 b-i=l has called to say he will ride Brighton - Chi with me on #3 b-i-l's bike. Which may or may not fit him, and which may or may not be a BSO.

90% of my target reached, some of the b*****s at work wont pay up until the deed is done!

In keeping with a similar poll on this forum, we should take a look at what bike everyone is riding on Friday night, we can then look at the stat's to see what would appear to be the most suitable/popular bike...

So, I'll begin:-

mike e - penny farthing with a full 20 speed group...

I had a message from the redoubtable Ms. Barnes this morning

'can I come on my penny?'

It's good to see a CTC Councillor keeping the flame of tradition burning.........

..and I've just received the Martlets contact telephone numbers for the night. Two in the minibus (including the top bod, who some of you will have met on the Bognor run), two in the van, and seven at the Scout Hut!

That's a pretty good effort considering that some of them have to go to a reception with the Mayor of Brighton on Saturday afternoon.

Very quiet on here this afternoon / evening.

I've been busy working. We've just submitted a project proposal, that should we get it, will keep the entire lab employed for several years.

We have even managed to submit it over an hour before the cut-off time.

I was rather hoping to get an early night today, so I'd be fresh for tomorrow night/Saturday morning, but it looks like 11-30ish is as early as I'm going to get to bed. <yawn>

I was also hoping to hunt down stuff and pack this evening, but it looks like I'll have to do it on the morrow now.

Anything else need doing Simon?

And Greg, to answer your earlier question, it's a Merida Speeder I8. Speed is, as ever, dependent on the rider.

I was at parents' evening earlier, and looked out for the lovely Mrs. Collins, just to tell her I'd be spending the night with her husband. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I couldn't find her.
