Those are good numbers by themselves. Do you have a confirmed number of Martlets yet?
it's about 64...

On top of my usual set of tools (screwdrivers, allen keys, spoke key, chain tool, inner tube for my bike), I reckon I'll be able to carry inside my jacket about 5 spare tubes of various sizes, 15 Parks Instant Repair patches, an adjustable spanner and a pair of pliers/wire cutters.

Apart from a hammer, anything else recommended for repairing BSO's?

PS The above is meant as a humorous comment and in no way denigrates the efforts of those riders who will be making a real effort beyond their comfort zone.

Here for rides.
When BSO's break, as the link I posted earlier goes to show, they break in ways far beyond the capacity of mere men with handtools to fix....

...thusly the best tool to bring would be a skip lorry to follow the sag wagon.

I'll be coming as a bike shaped object! I will need a tow. If you can't give me a tow, then a decent nose will do! Come on everyone - arallsopp is going to publish a book about this epic ride and needs anecdotes and photos and recipes and fund-a-mental raising ideas! All in a good cause.

And, anyone with a double yellow line on their jacket gets no parkin - ok hatler?! (It's mine all mine)

Really ? We might need some additional form of transport for you then. I made a triple batch.

 Very good - a Luke warm welcome back to the world of derring-do derailleurs for me.
Anyone who wants to make fun of me - roll up! £1 a go - in aid of Marlets Hospice.
That will be £2 thanks Luke!
