Yes, enough of weather talk for once. We should all just concentrate on weather or not we're going to have a great night.

Ahh, bollocks, you just can't get away from that nasty weather....;)

well, I should have enough luggage space for a full change of clothes:biggrin: what time do you get in to KX again?

I arrive into Kings Cross on the appropriately named Hull Trains service at 21:58.

We can then begin our Friday night of fixing and fettl'ing (is that a word or what?, I know fettle is but what is the plural? fettleing, nah, fettling, that don't look right either, I may have to change the fettle to bodge...) Anyway we will convert Mr MacB into a super duper long distance tourer, we shall then depart KX and I will stop off at Tesco's and load said Mac's panniers with enough supplies for the night.......................for everyone...;)

21:58 eh? That's good, because I have forgotten what a proper bike looks like and I might get the train into Kings Cross and meet up with you two...

Actually mikee - it will be cheaper to fill the panniers with balm cakes, dripping sandwiches and all the other stuff they swallow 'oop North' - Al will not mind. ;)

Dripping sandwiches? Is that because of too much brown sauce?

I'm happy with packhorse duties as long as you lot are happy with the wait for the 'food wagon' to arrive each time you stop...........promise it'll just be me cycling slowly not scoffing the grub en route:evil:

Be good if you meet us at KX Teef, you can then mock our combined fettling abilites

"The Friday Night pre ride Kings Cross workshop"

Start the night of in styleeee with top northern mechanic mikeeeeeee

This month - fitting luggage to your steed

Bring:- hammers, chisels, arc welder, bandage and booze

See how easy it is to "tourer" up your bike
See how easy it departs itself from the bike just short of Euston....

Actually, serious point by mike e there. Is anyone bringing bandages, first aid kit, etc, or is the hope that any incident will be closely attended by the sag-wagon?
