Just heard my cousin Dan (Roff) will be on this ride. Keep an eye out for him, if you will, and tell him I'm sorry to miss him. Then tell him to find some long trousers.

Andy.

For what its worth, there have been delays on the Brighton to London Line today, with problems emanating from 3 bridges. Something about fire alarms there. A visitor from Gatwick is substantially delayed - I hope the issues are sorted by tomorrow. Maybe the problem is only on Southern Trains.

That's a shame. We'll have to have a beer while they sort it out. Oh, well...

News was that it's all routes controlled by Three Bridges signalling centre (and that's quite a few), but it should have been fixed by 1600 today.

Edit: National Rail website says 1700. Follow it on Twitter #ThreeBridges

That's marvellous news, Tim.
May we all rejoice.
Well.... those of us heading for The Great Wen on Saturday morning, anyway....

In other news:
Last week's Yorkshire and Lincolnshire skog has been baby-wiped from the Scott (It didn't take long).
Tyres have been deflated, shards (two in number) removed, and 7 bar has been reinstated.
Vapex batteries have had as much Ah as they can take (Cap'n). Lights have been fitted.
That just leaves the wardrobe de jour and whether to arrange the lycra by degrees of darkness, or alphabetically by country of manufacture.

It is probably not necessary to get too precise. A subjective assessment will suffice.
Dynamic assessment currently taking place....
Along with a bath being drawn (a la Barbara Cartland) and chilli con carne being subjected to some btu on the cooker.
