Tickets to and from London booked. I'm on the 16:07 back to Liverpool, so may be forced to hang around drinking beer or something....
Opinion upthread seems to be that there is no problem with trains back to Victoria so I'll leave that open.

Martin, Southern don't do bike reservations. Assuming you're out of the 'no bikes at all' times, shouldn't be a problem I'd have thought.

Thats good to know, its about 15 years since I lived in Horley and used that train! They used to put them in an area in the guards compartment and you had to pay £1 for it.
Ticket booked to arrive at victoria 11.13pm

Return train tickets from booked for the princely sum of £25. If there's a team "disappointingly average" SMRBtH I'd like to join it if I may.

I do intend to help lead a 'slower, enjoy the ride, maybe a pub lunch, not, balls out ride your guts off Smrbtl', if it helps. I certainly don't intend to cycle at the speed some pesky other cyclists on the smrbtl do......

Simon now emailed about this, since looking at the list, I hadn't already gotten around to it. Hopefully my legs will be getting a bit more used to distances longer than my commute by this point, with another marginally longer ride next weekend (Flying Dodo's HS2 ride), so the knees won't complain quite so much about things on Ditchling.

Just been looking at the graphs for Ditchling and Bury Hill... Bury Hill is longer.. but Ditchling is steeper... I don't think a 66" gear will cut the mustard.. but I hate loosing.. I think liposuction might help me get up Ditchling better..
