Super.

I like to enjoy the ride back and will only go as fast as the slowest cyclist, which could well be me. Route I have planned will take me back to Kings Road, Chelsea, whereby I can carry on to HPC if peeps so wish. I do like fast A-roads however.. but that's only as cars will merely bounce off my thighs if they dare to get close.

Can someone with any know how please correct me on this route if it is inappropriate, ta. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2395519

We can stop around the Redhill area for lunchies if need be.

Do not do the A23 out of Brighton further then Patcham, after the big roundabout it's more of a motorway. very nasty for bikes.
However there is a cycle past that runs along it. Best stick to that. You can pick it up at Patcham at the roundabout and it takes you to Pycombe where you can cross back over the A23 on to the A273 Clayton Road.

excellent, not sure I'll be doing a ride back at anything other than "ooh that hurts " pace anyway ^_^

I'll be heading back to East London but can decide on the break point on the day

It does also suggest that we might need waterproofs indoors on Saturday morning. If it comes to that, I shall be more worried about replicants.
But, in that case, can you be certain you aren't one yourself?

This track http://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=4242519 shows the wiggle required to pick up the cycle path at the Patcham roundabout.

I'll head back with you if that's ok - I can go off ahead if I'm running short of time.

Davy - I'd be happy to join you and whoever else on the superslow SMRBtH, BUT it's going to depend on what set of wheels I happen to be on.
Concordia the Colnago's booked in on Friday for a look at a noisy BB (I think?) problem, and if it's not fixed, I'm going to be on either Victoria the Brompton or Mavia the hybrid, the last two like hills even less than I do.

Theres only merely two slight lumps on the way back.. which I think are less lumpy than cycling over my over inflated gut, twice...

Hmmm, this could be weird.. whos going to be my TEC??
