I will be following you Tim. I've never been to LMNH. Its coolness would ruin both our reputations. But as tomorrow is forecast to be very cool maybe I can get away with it. Indeed I may have a slag more than many others

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Join the queue for the tandem train!
Due to circumstances beyond the control of Buckinghamshire tandems the train due to leave from platform 12 has been cancelled. We apologise to passengers for any inconvenience this may cause.

(I'm rapidly going down with the lurgy. I thought I was OK this morning, until I almost collapsed after climbing three flights of stairs, and then my thoughts started getting completely lost while I was chairing a meeting. I'm on my way home to bed. And it's very annoying because I don't think I've been on a dry FNRttC since my very first one, which was bitterly cold and in June.)

Hmm, is it legal to turn right off of Cornhill onto Prince's Street? The No Right Turn signs visible on Streetview suggest not, but I was wondering if they're relating to a turn onto Threadneedle Street?

Google bicycle directions suggested this, but it's not always that accurate!

That's the route I'd take, but not sure of the status of City Road at the moment (alternating one-way traffic last time I used it).

we don't do Metcheck, Charlie, we do the Met Office. 2 degrees.

If there's frost at Harold Wood I'll take the ride via Billericay rather than Buttsbury.

What would be a shame as I love going along alone that part during the dead of night on a clear sky. I am sure, given the right conditions, that's my favorite section on any night ride.

Well, I'd probably be going along City Road regardless of what route I was taking, but that looks like a sensible route, and unless there someone else along who know where they're going (which is likely anyway), I'll follow that, thanks.

In the past I've followed various people to LMNH, Simon occasionally, and Titus certainly, who should know all of the cunning routes around central London! I'm just making sure I'm as prepared as possible (which predictably means things will now go horribly wrong).

Well, that would give the chance for someone to see if the ice would support their weight ...

The current forecasts seem to have warmed up a little, and the temperature is colder further to the west anyway, so as we travel east it should warm up (or more accurately, get less cold). It looks like the risk of a frost are receding. It'll probably feel a little brisk when leaving Stock however.
