Damn! My idiot boss has just announced a department piss up in Manchester on Friday 15th!

Hmmm.... (sound of brain cog wheels ticking) I might be able to eat light, stay sober and leave my bike in a colleague's hotel room for the evening, dash back there and change then ride to Piccadilly.....

or bring the idiot boss along? Or play it for laughs, and, at 11.15 exit with a swish of your cape, saying 'Tonight We Ride to Blackpool!'.

Ha ha! I don't think he would even make it to Bury!

I will definitely ride the recce with you on 28 March and will keep my options open for the ride proper.
