I'm just down the road from you. I sometimes ride back as far as Dartford and jump on the train there. Depends on the weather and the wind. I'm slower and later than Ian - especially as I expect to be Bromptoning too ... I shall decide in the cafe, but if I do I enjoy company.

I usually ride back too, but on this occasion I may be spending the rest of the day with my parents who are over that way. Also, I shall most likely be SS, so if I do ride back it is unlikely to be the usual speedy affair, at least for me.

I think a number of people last week expressed an intention to Brompton. Not all of them were called Mark.

My better half, Katharina S, is also missing from the list, albeit she's deeply determined to do the ride.

I am not on the list and have decided not to be on the list because

1. I think I ought to be at home now and again - I'm away next weekend as well
2. The bike needs a bit of fettling
3. I am in a mountain marathon in the Lakes the following weekend and this weekend is the only time I have to pack for it - and packing is bit more complicated for this sort of thing. Largely because there's no Ian And Van to carry it all......
4. Finally, I'm STILL tired. It's an age thing, I think.
