Oh, please tell me someone's doing it on a Penny, then I might not be the slowest thing out there ...

Jan-Mar, I was either out of the country or working 10-12 hours a day, 6-7 days a week, so in 2010 I have been out on the trike ... twice! One 20-miler, one 30-miler, both painful and painfully slow!!

yeahbutnobutyeah you're a serious cyclist and I'm a dilettante.

Dare I ask what ratio's you were pulling?

Moi, a serious cyclist!

I can do 100km without too many problems, but I die horribly doing a 200km.

I think it was about 63", which is quite easy up hills, but I spin out under 30mph, so you didn't get much chance to trigger speed cameras!

I am hoping to join the ride, having registered yesterday. I am planning to ride back to Tilbury to get the ferry, then ride the remaining 7 or 8 miles home to Rochester.
Tim - I haven't heard back from you...........

Given the non-hilliness and reasonably familiar territory of this one (I used to live in Stratford), combined with the mention of "genteel rules", I'm seriously considering joining in the SMRbtL. Any guesses as to when that's likely to arrive in London, seeing as my cycle space on the cheap train back to Brum will require advance booking?

Check out last year's windy Southend return kimble. It was a beast and we hung around a bit on the way back, watching the birds etc...I have an idea that mad mikee got the 16:30 upwards on that day - maybe the 16:00. I think he took a clock photo hmm...

10pm return train should do it!
