It's a bit more complicated than that...
UK Monthly Weather outlook (Met Office via BBC):

Monday 13 June 2011 to Sunday 26 June 2011
High pressure not going anywhere
The middle of June will bring more good news for the sun-seekers amongst you as high pressure remains in charge. That means just about everyone has dry, warm and sunny weather in store with that much-needed rain nowhere in sight.
Was that the same monthly outlook that told me last weekend would be fine, dry and warm? It was lying.

Weekends include Saturday. Except in Northern Ireland where it is always a wet Monday morning ...
So, is anybody on for the monasterial inebriation if the weather is fair?

partly. And to visit our friend Verity.
Lambert?

There is no escape. The Ramsgate ferry don't take bikes ... unless you are stupid enough to do it on your Brommie

no. VL's a bit grand for the likes of us........
And last seen on Gallifrey ... which is a long bike ride from Ramsgate.

Simon, sorry but I'll have to pull out of this ride. I was fully intending to do this as a warm up to Wootton Bassett but my achilles is still giving me problems and two long rides in 4 days strikes me as a bad idea.

Change the 'T' to an 'F' then, Simon.

"No T. F- no comment."

will do

I think that's wise, Martin T. And might I suggest laying hands on some codeine and some strapping?

Recce ride this Saturday early. Meet Cutty Sark Gardens, Greenwich at 6.30 am. If you're reading this User10571, we will absolutely not be going over any dead bodies. Not at all. (User10571 believes that no ride to Whitstable is complete without a Dead Body Diversion)
