And no I won't be wearing arm warmers, it's about keeping the core temp warm.

Keep the arm warmers and the core temp will look after itself.....

Finally...work finished, weekend starts now! short sleeves, short shorts, that is the way to embrace the summer!

I think I'm going to go with 3/4 bottoms, wear a short sleeved jersey, and carry a long sleeved one which I can pull on over the top should it get cold, such as immediately after 3amses.

It was spitting a bit on the way home, but just barely noticeable, so hardly worth carrying a waterproof for.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Lanterne rouge, here we come. Touring tandem plus two days worth of touring kit = not as fast as we'd be on the light bike. Blog consulted - "light hills". Phew.

R is getting some rest (having spent part of the afternoon reading Jane Austen on the M25), I'm failing to do the same (having spent all day in work). Tea will be packed for the train shortly.

Stoker seatpost fettled (Evans to the rescue - the story might be told over a beer tomorrow), chains somewhat deslackened, luggage installed.

Short-sleeved base layer, long-sleeve jersey and windproof available if I want them, longs if I'm really desperate. Met Office claims a minimum of 14 degrees for tonight - warmer than Sunday's planned maximum.

I'm stopping in Whitstable for a few days so I'm taking some extra clothes with me - but because I hate the cold I'll probably be wearing most of it after the cake stop.

Right, this waiting around before the ride is driving me crazy - I think I might wander up via West India Quay, where some of the tomorrow's (?) flotilla are mustering. Actually, we should have a muster point instead of a meeting point this weekend.

Short sleeved base layer, Long sleeve jersey, shorts and knee-warmers - As I really feel the cold when I start to get tired and we're hanging around. Waterproof jacket in bag as drizzle is forecast.

It's a tricky one. I'm going for long sleeve vest (base layers are soooooooo last year) short sleeved top, arm warmers, shorts, knee warmer, gloves and hat - the latter because I'm a bit aerodynamic on top.

Well, that was hard work in places, but still a good ride. Well done everyone involved, especially the strood dudes, and as ever Simon.

Will write more when not cross eyed with tiredness, yet needing to take sister and her husband out sight-seeing...
