I have just returned home from a night out and my house smells of cakes. Mrs trickedem has baked sufficient cakes for everyone. Furthermore, as I understand it, several other volunteers have cooked similar quantities. Please don't eat much between now and 3.30am on Saturday morning because you are all headed for a cake fest^_^

High Street, Strood - after yesterday afternoon's dress rehearsal for the state visit of Queen Hilda and her 'on tour age'. Big cakes keep tablecloths in check!
And if you can't eat all of TimCo's cakes...

Forget gently - break it to him majestically. Queen Hilda of Lowergearing can have an alternative party in Whitstable Street.
Everyone bring a flag (no, I don't mean a huge flat stone, Stu - even though you are probably toting one onboard) affixed to their bicycle! Tons of stuff in Poundland. No Union Jack underpants though Davy...the world is not ready.
And bring sharpeners, so, like the Queen, eveyone can have a little fillip from time to time.

No, I'm not. Though as ever, it seems the Deuter Gravitational Transference & Multiplication System is working a bit too well. Those clever Germans have made a rucksack that's light and comfortable for the wearer, but makes other riders in the group obliged to moan and winge about a load they aren't even carrying

moan and winge about a load
Oooo! careful Stu - I think you're getting a bit mixed up there. Moaning and whingeing is something I would probably do if the folk I was riding with shot off the front and I couldn't keep up. That would really warrant a 'M&W' Or maybe not...I don't know. Yet.
What time you arriving TC? I wouldn't mind a pint beforehand. I get bored hanging around at home. The Stage Door off The Cut be a good place if anyone's around early doors.
I will escape Paddington about 9:45. I'll PM you my mobile number - I could possibly be tempted to a pint...
