It is roubaix i assure you. A fair few folk on here use it for that. I have used jt on past dynamos. It has the great advantage of being totally self contained and uses AA batteries. Changing batteries mid ride is a doddle. Have also used it on a solo ride london to cambridge and back. All fine.

Thirded. Used on every FNRttC I've done (triple figures) & many other night rides. Never felt the need for more light.
 
I have two lights fitted on the handle bars, a Cateye BL-500 and a very anti social Exposure Maxx-D. Pootle around town the Cateye does well, but out on the open road with not other road users the Maxx-D lights the road for many yards ahead, when riding the Worth way and other NCN or trail routes in my area at night the Maxx-d is outstanding.

Informed choice? Knowledgable for sure, but he is rather biased towards the stuff he sells and against the stuff he doesn't....
