Do any of you guys know of a low rider rack that can be fitted to a bike with no dedicated bosses on the front forks only mudguard eyelets?
Tubus Tara has an optional fork clamp. If you have one lower eyelet you should use it.
Use a long bolt from the inside with one nut after the first thing you fit then a second Nylock nut after the 2nd thing that goes on (it depends where the mudguard/rack fit on the eyelets as to which can be fitted first)I only have one eyelet at the base of the fork currently using for the mudguard, but those tubus fork clamps look good, I wonder if I can fettle something up?
Tara fits to mudguard eyelets with no fettling.
Tubus make a very good accessory clamp for fastening the rack to a fork blade.Maybe I'm missing something, but looking at your link the tara fastens at the mudguard eyelet and halfway up the fork, I would still need to fashion some sort of mounting point

Yes, this is is the tubus lm-1 kit, about £11.Look on wiggle OP. I would put a link but my tab won't let me. I use one on a bike - solid as a rock. Despite what some traditionalists might tell you it is a myth that you need integral mid fork mounts. As long as your fork is steel you will be fine.
No, they mount to a long plastic bracket which bolts to the eyelets at both ends.Going slightly off piste, I started looking at this mounting style, are these just fastened with webbing type straps directly to the forks?
Do you have any idea what they are called, for googling purposes, I've looked on the Trek/Bontrager website but couldn't find anythingNo, they mount to a long plastic bracket which bolts to the eyelets at both ends.
