My Marin has the above FSA headset, and I noticed last time out that it's developed a tiny amount of play.

I'm not overly familiar with these headsets in terms of fettling, so any advice on what bearings and any crafty techniques anyone knows would be welcome.

T.I.A :okay:

Just torque it up till the play is gone.

So it seems the headset is an FSA Orbit ITA, and the cheapest replacement seems to be about £55.

I've found the bottom bearing separately for about £12. but not found the top one yet.

However, I bit the bullet and decided to strip it down this morning, what a piece of pi$$ that job is, don't know what I was fretting about :okay:

The top bearing feels OK, the bottom one felt a tad grumbly. So I popped the covers off them both, cleaned them out, packed them with new grease and re-fitted them, and hey presto the play is gone, for now at least.

I'll keep an eye on it, but TBH for the extremely limited of peddling I do I'm hoping they'll last for ages yet
