5's are lighter than 7's, also 5's may have bladed spokes. 7's are toughest out of the two.

I don't really need anything! I have 5s on the genesis, but the Pearson is feeling left out. If I do manage to make ride London (looking doubtful right now  ) I'll swap the wheels over, handily both have the same cassette

FWIW, I opted for the 7s because there wasnt much weight difference between the 2014 7s and 2013 5s and I wanted something robust (I was doing Flanders). I doubt also there is any performance difference perceptible to the mere mortal and besides the 2014 7s were slighty cheaper ;-)

I was looking at the wiggle deal, which I think is the 2013. Should have got two pairs of 5s when they were under £150

Ive got 5's and they are a great wheels - however just upgraded to Zonda's which as another thread states are on special on wiggle at £250 which is close to what some retailers would sell the 5 for.

Mildly tempting, especially as can get a bit more off at wiggle through Quidco. However, given I can't really cycle right now, spending any money on bike bits would be daft. Although could order, as have 365 days to return ...

Both good wheels. I've got the 5's on one bike, and 7's on another.
However....... Just bought a pair of Fulcrum T's for Mrs Kes bike - 5 hubs and 7 Rims, with bladed spokes.

Seem to be lighter than the old 7's (and not quite so noisy). They look superb, and so far have performed perfectly.

For now you could just squirrel away any money that you would have been spending on bike bits, maybe in a savings account for the interest, and then when you're back in the saddle there'll be a nice fat wedge - shopping time!

Are the racing Ts straight pull or J bend spokes with cartridge bearings ?

Thanks
I can't remember 100% (and Mrs Kes is out on the bike so can't check atm) but I'm fairly certain they are J-bend spokes. The bearings are the usual Fulcrum sealed cartridge bearings.
