@Richard A Thackeray one of those would be in my five car dream garage, I’ve always obsessed over them. it would have to be a early SWB 1980’s model in a solid classic MB colour ideally beige!

I had the dubious honour of having a slight coming together with one in the mid 80s perhaps.
Behind one at a junction, it moved forward, I followed, it stopped, I didn't, slight bump into its rear door hung spare tyre.
My fault I waved the driver over to apologise and give details, a young lady popped out, had a look to see no damage (I'd hit the rubber of the tyre luckily) ..and instantly said, it's fine, nothing happened, its brand new, I've literally just picked it up from the dealership...I'm not telling anyone

There was a gorgeous Skoda Estelle too
The best part of the week was the flight home. we came over the Peak District, & essentially banked around Emley Moor mast!!
From then on, I was just peering out of the window, till we landed
