I think R2's Ken Bruce may have had some inaccuracies in the past.

On the day that Norman Wisdom died, someone edited his Wikipedia page to include the “fact” that he had composed the lyrics to “There’ll be blue birds over the White Cliffs of Dover”. Several newspapers - including the Guardian and the Mirror - reprinted this as part of their obituaries.

Similarly, when Ronnie Hazelhurst died, the “fact” that he had come out of retirement to compose “Reach” for S Club 7 was repeated by the Guardian, Independent, the Times, The Stage, Reuters and the BBC

It's long been corrected, but a few years ago the entry for the village I lived in went into some detail about the non-existent red light area^_^

There used to be somebody who would regularly and persistently alter the John Craven page to read:

When John Craven talks he sounds like gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee gwabadee
