Gah! puncture repair fail

Got puncture on the way home, pretty rare event. Stopped, got wheel off, tube out, found the stone that caused it, got new tube out, rummaged around in bag for pump, rummaged some more, upended the bag and got everything out, put it all back in, rummaged around again just to be sure...

Walked the rest of the way. Still haven't found the pump, wonder how long it hasn't been in my bag?

Normally I find my pump has fallen to bits in the bottom of my bag,if it's there at all.

Reminds me I must check my tyres over for glass.Doing it now.

Suprisingly, with all the small stones, glass, twigs, and leaves that I ride over on my commute, I rarely have a p*ncture. I havent had one since September.

TBH, I need a new rear tire. It has little grip in the wet and is too small (23c when front is 32c).

Why would you run a 23/32 combo? That must make for interesting handling.

If I was going to run such an unusual setup, I think I'd reverse it and have the narrower tyre on the front.

I p'ture repair at home carry a tube on the move; patched three tube last night before I use them I pump them up and leave them over night; one went bang (sorry neighbours ), one was flat in the morning but the third one was a good repair

It does feel a bit odd. Heavy steering and a slippy rear end. It brightens up the commute though.

Goes off for a rummage in the panniers to check for pump, patch kit and 15mm spanner (I'm on a fixed).

Got one this morning but that was before i even jumped on the bike, was an 'overnight' puncture
