gamin edge not recognized by pc

Nothing see it, the pcs are not registering the presence of the device at all although its drawing power to recharge.

Thats exactly what mine does when the cable is up the creek, just get the battery sign up rather than the pc, mines a 705

I have to force it into mass storage mode to get it to connect every time so looks like your right , i got it from amazon but i have lost a plastic cover part of the packaging, "lad " was helping me tidy up and it went walkabout.

Doesn't matter. Garmin and Amazon both have very good customer services.

My 605 does it quite often, usually sorts itself out by unplugging it and trying a few times, then it will work fine for weeks.
I e-mailed Garmin and got a reply back with lots of things to try which got it going again initially.
