Garmin 800 Help

Hi Guys

I went on a jaunt yesterday and just pressed the start/lap button my Garmin 800, I was just using my custom screen (Time, Speed, Distance).

I am wondering if the Garmin would have recorded the route I took and if I can download that onto my pc?

If you pressed start it should have recorded; just connect it to your pc and see.

Hope so as it was a good route, just kept cycling and going down farm roads

Hi Mate, found the file that has my map but I cant open it on my mac.

Any idea of a program that I can download?

Have you downloaded Garmin Connect and got an account. You can view your rides there.

Garmin Connect, Strava or RideWithGPS are all good free on line packages (you'll need to install the free Garmin Communicator); if you want off line Garmin Training Centre can be downloaded but the others are better. PS if you've not moved the file any of these programs would/will find the file automatically, if you have moved it you'll need to select manual upload.

Have you signed in and connected your 800?

Once it has connected click on upload
