I am off to South America for a bit of a break and am taking my Garmin 200 with me. I am also taking an Android Tablet running Jelly Bean. Has anyone tried to download Garmin Communicator onto an Android device? I quite fancy downloading my rides while I am out there rather than waiting till I get home. I could use my smart phone, but I do prefer the Garmin for recording rides.

I don't think such a version exists, but if your tablet has a USB socket (I know most don't though) you can manually upload it by browsing to the gpx file.

I take it your tablet is either rooted or has an app to allow it to access external storage on the usb port as android doesn't permit this by default just to be annoying

The 200 doesn't the 705 that I also have does, but it isn't as simple to transfer between bikes so I wasn't going to take it. Cable ties and the like. If it proves too much of a faff I will probably wait and upload the rides when I get back or record on the phone app. It just seemed like a nice idea to be able to upload from the Garmin while out there.
