Garmin Edge 1000 Broken Rubber Power Button

After a few years the rubber power button on my Garmin Edge 1000 has cracked and broken off. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this and if there is a repair option.

I believe this is a known problem for this model. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can print a replacement button and glue it to the side of your Edge 1000: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3611150
