Garmin Edge 1000 Pairing Speed Sensors

I cannot pair the speed sensor on my Garmin Edge 1000 since doing a factory reset. I follow all the correct steps to do it but it now won't even with two different sensors.
The sensors I have got don't light up at all.
Does anyone know what's wrong?
Maybe I should revert to my Cateye computer.

Sounds to me like the sensors rather than the head unit have failed, hopefully its just they need a new battery.

Try replacing the battery in the sensor. If that doesn’t work, send it back to where you got it.

Know anyone else who has a garmin you can test your sensors with?

I'll take to a friendly shop on Monday but I have 3 wheels with sensors in and I have tried 2 so far now I'll now try the other one.

I had the same problem after installing software update...Sorted it out with new batteries in sensors and 'RESET the sensors...There should be a small button which un-pairs the sensors ..Then just set up as new out of the box..

i struggled to pair because i had too many things paired up - clearing the list then starting again worked for me
