Garmin Edge 810 Shutting down

Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question....

I have a Garmin Edge 810 and I have noticed a few times that it decides to turn itself off, for no apparent reason! Doing so also invalidates the ride I have just done.... I have it set so it does not turn itself off due to inactivity as I thought that might work.....
Does anyone else have an Edge 810 that does this or am I just unlucky? I would ask Garmin themselves but they don't have the best customer service.........
I have had my garmin for over a year now so the warranty is out.

I'd try a factory reset first as maybe that'll fix it.

I've found their customer service to be spot on so I'd contact them if factory reset doesn't work.

Do you charge it or just plug it into your laptop? Was an issue with earlier models that they always showed 100% charge on the start up screen. My Edge 500 caught me out a few times so I give it a charge once a week now. Yours is a more modern one so maybe doesn't have this issue.

I will try a factory reset..... I have also contacted garmin to see what they say....
And yes, I do just plug it into my laptop so I will try plugging it into the mains.
