Garmin Edge Touring problem

Updated maps and now screen has lines on it !!
Can hardly read screen.
Anybody had this problem?

This looks more like a unit screen fault rather than a download fault.

But I am possibly talking rubbish.

More like a display driver fault, but don't know enough about small gadgets and displays.

Send it back to Garmin even if it is out of guarantee as you can get one at reduced price

Do what I did. Swap it for an iPhone with USB charger. Better screen. Battery lasts as long. Easier to use. Never crashes. Better map.

Can you reapply the update at all? See if that fixes it.

I always backup the file structure, it is possible to rebuild to a previous version of the firmware from scratch if need be, try @Markymark that on iphone

Cheers for the input ...have emailed Garmin no response yet ,have tried factory reset but it is still on 4.10 firmware which is the problem i think.
Need to downgrade firmware i feel.
And thanks again this forum is more use than garmin

On the 705 its just GNP file (I think) which I just change.

You can raise a ticket with Garmin support. I did that and they were quite responsive (if not actually very helpful). That was some years ago, mind.

My Garmin tour refused to start. I raised a ticket with Garmin and after about 3 days they replied. I sent it off to them, they sent a reconditioned replacement free of charge - and it was well out of guarantee. Top marks to Garmin !
