Garmin express fails to download

Trying to download Garmin Express to my windows 7 laptop but it keeps failing. Saying it could not be installed to this computer

I’ve searched Google and also worked through the troubleshooting on Garmin website but still no joy.

Anyone with any experience of this issue ?

What are you hoping to do with Garmin Express? If it is only update the firmware in a gps unit there is also WebUpdater, or BaseCamp (which says it is using WebUpdater),

It is to use with my Garmin edge 500 only.
The laptop is never used.

Managed to get it fixed

I had to manually update my Microsoft.net software.

Ok so a little update and question.

I now have my edge 500 linked to garmin express and connect, however, on garmin connect the Info for each ride is very minimal, I thought I’d be able to view my rides on a map but it doesn’t seem like I can? I was hoping to be able to view my full ride with specific details along the route, I do not seem to be able to do this? I can see a small map of my route only,with no details or info,just the start and finish points and I cannot open up the map to view closely?

Anyone able to help

Yes that’s correct. I have all my activities,just can’t view on map

Weird, just checked mine, click on activity, get map and data

Clear history and cache ?

Does the "small map" have

at the top right - clicking on that will enlarge it and both should have magnification icons at the top left

I’ve figured it out, garmin express was taking me to Firefox to use Connect, logging in using chrome has got it working perfectly

Wonders of PCs never fail - I'm using Firefox without any problem
