Garmin invalid file when uploading

I have a Garmin 520 and sync it using Garmin Express. I have one ride which it keeps saying has an invalid format so will not upload.

Files before and after uploaded without issue.

Looking at advice there are some tools that repair such files. Maybe it is my old computer but none if these programs run for me.

Anybody else had the same problem and found an easier workaround?

Edited. I see you have tried some things. I think you will get more meaningful replies if you list what you've tried already.

Solved it.

Don't know why but Garmin and Strava said the .fit file was invalid but it would upload to Ridewithgps. Once done I then exported as a tcx file, which Garmin seemed to like and uploaded.

In the end no need for fit file repair tools.
