Hi all iv just been given carrera one subway with with suspension and disc braces.the problem i have is the front derailleur is not straight and its not give me all the gears .iv tryed always to get it right just not happening 😒 can someone give me fool proof way to reset the derailleur

Good morn @Baldwin the front derailuer should be parallel to the Chainrings, and only 5or 6 mm above the large Chainring.
It sounds like it might have been knocked out of line at some point.
You will need to loosen the cable clamp off, then loosen the nut holding the clamp for the front mech, and line it up. Then tighten the clamp, re-attach the cable.

And when the FD cage is over the large chainring, the gap should be 1mm, max 2mm.

It sounds like it might have been knocked out of line at some point.
