Geeko rear hub e-bike conversion kit

I'm looking at a Geeko rear-hub conversion kit https://www.100g.tech/
Has anyone tried this or had experience with the company. Does it seem too expensive to you?
I'm specifically looking at https://www.100g.tech/product/geeko-rear/ the Max25150R. It's a 250 Watt rear hub motor with a 36v 15Ah battery for $875.
The intended use is touring so it's going on my Trek 520.

Difficult for any of us in the UK to advise.

The kit looks as good as any, although the proprietary battery design means you will be stuck with Geeko for spares/service.

Higher voltage is the current fashion and is reckoned to be slightly better.

If you don't go for Geeko, you might to look for something with 48v or even 52v.

Price wise, we'd expect to pay about £700 to £800 for a decent looking kit with a chunky battery, which this is.
