Same here, they fit but were very tight, dropped down to 25s and they are much better but would have liked to have kept the 28s myself.Thanks for the tip. It's a shame that I couldn't have left the 28c tyres on for that bit more comfort/protection but the mudguards wouldn't go on and I had to drop down to 25c.
Maybe in summer I'll take the guards off and put them back on.
- When I first got It I liked the 'clean' look of the bike so much that I wanted to keep it that way (No bottle holder, frame pump or mudguards). The problem then was that it never got used because of the weather, so I gave in to M/guards. I had a brainwave about replacing the rear set of nuts with small wing-nuts to save carrying the 2nd spanner, but it didn't look great, and I was concerned about them being too sharp and a hazard if I came off.
