Sounds nasty. Hope all make full recoveries.

Loch side.
Now there's a glass half full kinda guy. The manager says (with 6 riders in hospital) that " we also have some luck on our side". I wish I could be that positive about things.

From what I've read, I think they can count themselves extremely lucky that no one was killed. I feel quite upset by this news. Fingers crossed for a full and speedy recovery for all of them.

Fingers crossed may not be quite the right term...horrific collision and it sounds as though Degenkolb has very serious injuries to his index finger and that it will hopefully be reattached this evening. It is a very upsetting incident and I am thinking of them all, and also Malori from Movistar who had a horrendous crash yesterday (from the video, it seems to be from a crack in the road that stopped his bike dead whilst he was at the head of the peloton).

Awful.

Despite the horrific injury list, it is fortunate nobody was killed.
Hoping for quick recoveries but appears a few seasons may be over before they have begun. Unbelievable event.
