As these have been around a while now do any CC'ers have hands-on experience of these please?

I know my way around Shimano hydraulic brakes re maintenance (within reason) but I can't find out much about them online other than Giant's own marketing blurb.

Any performance comparisons with Shimano's road disc brakes would be helpful.

Plus how do they fare on the noise front under braking (wet and dry)?

Reason for request is that I've been looking at some Giant road bikes and these seem to be the default choice up to around the £2k mark.

I'm assuming this is a price point/margin innovation on Giant's part although there is some waffle re the use of the ability to use the more 'comfortable' (not for me but I understand what they are saying) traditional Shimano non-hydraulic shifters. Although this statement goes out of the window at the > £2k price point.

Noise of brakes is dependent on the pads, not the braking system.
