Hi, just wondered if anyone knows/owns a giant contend SL1 disc and knows what type of bottom bracket it has please? I know it’s press fit but I’m looking at getting a Shimano 105 crankset and hopefully power meter but need to know if it’ll fit my current bottom bracket. I’m not the most technically minded so worried about taking stuff off to see what bracket it is so thought I’d throw it out there to the experts 😊

Post a pic if you don’t know the model year.
If it’s the 2020 model it’s a Shimano 105 crankset on there, also going back a few years. The bottom bracket model number is BB-RS500-PB.

If it’s the R7000 you want to fit you won’t be able to use it with your pressfit BB, it’s a Hollowtech BB and uses screw-in bearings which sit outboard, the pressfit‘s are inboard. The 105 is a two piece crank. There may be a conversion available.
So you need to look for a crank that fits a pressfit BB.
