The Subway 1 is better apparently.
Whereabouts do you live?
So can you or can’t you ride a bike unaided? Will you be riding on roads? Do you drive or have no experience of operating a ‘vehicle’ around other traffic and pedestrians?
Being confident to ride should be your priority then learn about roadcraft (there’s a good book called Cycle Craft by John Franklin)
I'm in Leicester.
I can ride unaided. Well its was basically at a park I did the lesson.Yes i will be riding on the road.
If you want to go the second hand route maybe @biggs682 has something in his stable you might like. He’s about thirty miles from you. All of them are checked and ready to go.
Definitely get a copy of Cycle craft
And budget £50+ for locks if buying anything new
I think @broady is in Leicester or thereabouts and often has used bikes for sale. You never know
Thanks. I will pm him.
Thanks. I will pm him as well.
How tall are you @Jimmyj84 ?
I've pretty much stopped the bike building as I am riding more but I know of a few bikes that are for sale

Thanks. I am just go for it.
@Jimmyj84 if you are still looking or thinking feel free if local to Northamptonshire to try any of my road bikes and at 6ft 1" the Scott S50 Speedster 61cm Road bike or the Carrera Tanneri cx bike 21.3" would both be in your size range
I finally went for the 500se. Thanks.
