Giant headset.

Advice needed and where better to go than here?

I'm in the process of rebuilding an old Giant Cadex CFR-2 and the headset is shot.

I've tried to get an original from YST (part No: HP-8311N) but unfortunately they're so far out of date even they don't have one knocking around in the basement, so what headset should I use as an alternative?

Surely any one inch threaded headset will be suitable. I would have gone for a Stronglight A9 in the past, but I'm not sure whether that's available in a roller bearing format anymore.

Hi Tim.....not sure as well.

Was hoping to find an original YST headset just to keep it as original as possible, but that's looking more and more unlikely to be the case.

Failing that option I was hoping for suggestions from others who may have had similar situations.

I'm open minded at this stage.
