Barnet,
Wow, Pog!

Wow indeed. Pog is doing what Eddie Merckx used to do in his prime. Now though it's all televised so everyone can see the dominance.

I feel a bit hypocritical because if it was anyone else doing these bonkers things , I’d be suspicious. But it’s Pog and I just grin and watch him! He’s like a big kid playing on his bike!

I know what you mean, but also he has no real competition in this race. No Roglic, no Evenepoel, no Bernal and, perhaps most importantly, no Vinegaard. If any of these had been in, and at the top of their game, Pog may not look quite so super-human

Thanks DT,
1914 and the race was a different beast, I guess and in 2006, a different Basso...
... fuelled by the notorious Dr Fuentes!

Here's a full list of winning margins. Pog is currently on 00:06:11 (actually not, see edit below)

How far up the ranking will he climb?

So they've changed tomorrows route but it's still got a very high Cima Coppi climb early on, and the final climb isn't monstrous.

I'll probably end up with Pog blowing everybody away. Again.

Gotta feel for Quitana a bit, any other field of riders he would've won.

I felt it was time for one of the teachers to get involved. "Now, now Tadej, you've had your go. Let someone else play on the podium".

As for Quintana, I understand he has his retirement plans already lined up. He owns a couple of small retail outlets: a shop selling pens and stationery, and a fruiter specialising in the fruit of plants of the genus Musa. They are called ... (wait for it) ...

Nairo's Biros and Quintana's Bananas.

Late to watching yesterday's stage and another masterclass by UAE and Pog....if he wants a stage he takes it !
Feel for Nairo but he's another chance tomorrow...put your feet up Pog and relax 😁

I wonder if there's also a bit of "the bigger his lead is, the more he can increase it".

If he only had a few seconds, rather than a few minutes then there would have been a more serious chase. He'd still have won, but not by such a big margin. You wouldn't get quotes like this one from Geraint Thomas "Obviously we just slowed right up and it became a cat and mouse, a race amongst us really, Everyone just sort of let Pog go and do his thing."

He's chasing the all time records like Cav and the Tdf....

Absolutely this, none of G, Dani M or Ben O'C are willing to risk their minor placing for a very slim chance of nicking top spot off Pog.
