Shame for Arensman. Mental demons still there. Then there’s the weird thing with his leg sticking out riding bow legged, didn’t do that last Giro. I’m sure he’ll want to get home soon as possible & climb off.

What happened with him? I must have missed that info.

True, though at the time I felt like that was the right decision. Not sure why, it feels incredible now.
Because multiple small avalanches and mudslides is worse than yesterday's rain?

I felt like a lonely voice saying it was an insane decision.

The road was impassable after the tunnels between Val d'Isere and the Tignes dam so there was no option but to cut the stage short. Given there were no timing facilities between the to of the Col d'Iseran and the finish in Tignes, what else could they do? I was in Tignes 1800 when the storm hit. quite incredible.

Nothing. He is still in the race, just lost a chunk of time in the opening stages, so out of contention for GC.
