Doesn't feel decided. Yates looks vulnerable so a lot may rest on podium hunters trying to.open it up

Suspect UAE will be too strong tomorrow but realistically people need to throw the dice earlier. Del Toro’s time loss day was the wet day wasnt it? I know the finish was dry but it was wet earlier.

I do wonder what the point was of Carapaz doing that. He was very unlikely to gain much on Del Toro. Weird.

Visma had a wonderful 2023, but since then are giving off Ineos post 2019 vibes.

How did Del Toro suddenly become a Grand Tour contender, is this just how it happens. Even Pogacar when he was young had bad days, he still has bad days ! Is his team just playing it to perfection ?

I wonder if tomorrow will be more of the same but hope it isn't it.

One advantage to extending the gap to s Yates and the rest is carapaz has less fear of trying something earlier . If it doesn't go right he has a bit more of a buffer

It's rather daunting to try to attack from way out when UAE still have McNulty (in name only), but Majka in glorious form. You risk Majka bringing del Toro back if del Toro is unable to follow, while you might blow up and wreck your entire GC on the last climb.
I think UAE were too strong today and Carapaz made the sensible decision to try to test del Toro a little, but mainly hope for tomorrow.
