Presumably, Gee wants to take time and Storer follows as there are only seconds between them on GC. Gee and Storer are now 2 and 3 on Virtual GC.

He had a deal with Ciccone not to compete the mountain points in return for a free shot at the Red Bull sprint, and Ciccone's teammate buggered it up. That's not a gift, it's an agreement. Entitled to feel a touch aggrieved imo
